Acupuncture

Acupuncture, along with Moxibustion, is one of the oldest practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Most historians believe this medical art and practice originated in China. The first document to outline "the organized system of diagnosis and treatment"  via Acupuncture was The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine (Huangdi Neijing) from about 100 BC.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine, sterilized, single-use needles into the skin at specific points.  Acupuncture is based on the premise that vital energy, or life force, called Qi circulates throughout the body via a system of pathways known as meridians.  Imbalances or dis-harmony in the flow of Qi is seen to cause illness, correcting the flow of vital energy with Acupuncture restores balance to the system.
Acupuncture is used to address a variety of conditions and diseases of the physical Body while also successfully addressing dis-harmony of the Mind and Spirit.
